A red hot Bognor Regis side head down the coast, and into the heart of Dorset, as they face down Weymouth at the Bob Lucas Stadium in the FA Cup 2nd qualifying round this weekend. 

Bognor, fresh from their impressive midweek victory over Cray Wanderers, will no doubt be relishing the opportunity of starting a real cup run at the Terras expense, and with both teams looking solid in their respective divisions, this could be one of the toughest games they'll play this season 

Weymouth find themselves 8th in the Calor Gas Premier Division following a heavy 3-0 defeat at home to Hemel Hempstead Town last weekend. Nevertheless The Terras seem to be ticking over nicely having only lost once at home so far, and, will no doubt be expecting to continue making the Bob Lucas Stadium a fortress.  

Stuart Yetton will be a real threat to Bognor's defensive unit, with the Weymouth striker having found the net a respectable 6 times in the league so far. The Terras also hope to have influential player Danny Clay back in time for the FA Cup clash after he was forced to miss the weekend's game with Hemel Hempstead. 

The clash between Weymouth and Bognor Regis kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.

Who are Weymouth? 

Weymouth FC have a long and proud history. Formed in 1890, the Terras are so named as a result of their famous Terracotta strip and are no strangers to the magic of the FA cup, having played teams such as Nottingham Forest and Bury in recent years. 

Weymouth have played at the highest level of the non league pyramid, after being promoted from the Conference South as champions in 2006, and subsequently suffered major financial issues that led to their eventual relegation back to the Conference South in 2009. 

Unfortunately the Terras continued to be plagued by problems and they slipped straight down into the Southern League, where they have remained ever since. Weymouth are now in the ascendancy once more, and it could only be a matter of time before they find themselves competing at a higher level than they're currently at. 

The ground 

Weymouth play at the 6,600 capacity Bob Lucas Stadium on the outskirts of town. Characterised by a large grandstand capable of seating around 900 spectators, the Bob Lucas Stadium is named in honour of Weymouth's former club president, who sadly passed away after a battle with Cancer. 

The ground has terracing around the length and breadth of the stadium, having originally been designed for a capacity of 10,000 spectators. Covered terracing can be found behind both goals, and a covered stand opposite the Grandstand is also present. 

Admission prices for the season are £11 and £6 for concessions. There is also an admission of £3 if you are unemployed (you'll probably need some kind of proof folks!) or under the age of 16. If you are registered disabled, the admission is £8 but your carer gets in FREE.

Weymouth railway station is around 2 miles from the Bob Lucas Stadium, and there are Taxis available for a fare of £6, so if there are several of you, this option is by far the cheapest.

Buses are also available. The no. 5 Radipole runs to Chafey's Lane (a 2 minute stroll) at 40 minute intervals during the day, but doesn't run during the evening. 

Alternatively, the no.3 Hereford Road runs to Radipole Lane (a 6 minute walk) at 10 minute intervals during the day, and half hourly during the evening. 

Both services can be caught from King Road Roundabout, which is just a couple of minutes from the railway station.
